The Forza Motorsport franchise has always pushed boundaries with its wonderfully beautiful graphics, refined gameplay mechanics and solid presentation. It has evolved over the years and has carved a niche for itself among the many racing games that flood the market. Late in the year 2011, developer Turn 10 Studios and publisher Microsoft Studios launched the fourth instalment in the Forza Motorsport series called Forza Motorsport 4. The latest game boasted of several new features within gameplay and menu style which were sure to blow the gaming community away. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations

Our first encounter with the Assassin’s Creed franchise saw us controlling Altair, an assassin whose only job was well........assassinating people. The whole new concept was great of reliving our ancestors memories as we take on the role of a master assassin to uncover certain secrets buried in the past. As the franchise grew, so did the characters and the timelines. The next in line to become an assassin was Ezio Auditore and he indeed brought new gameplay elements that took the franchise to another level. Developer and publisher Ubisoft decided to build on Ezio’s story depicted through three games out of which the third instalment would be Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. With its launch it received positive reviews and is said to mark the end of Ezio’s journey.Read more...

Medal Of Honor: Warfighter

The Medal of Honor (MOH) series has come a long way since the day it had launched its first game. The whole idea of placing the player in perilous danger and the blood ridden battlefield was a great concept that the game endorsed. It has many awards under its belt and is supposed to be one of the leading war-fighter games out on the market. Developer Danger Close Games and publisher Electronic Arts decided to launch their newest endeavour in the series called Medal of Honor: Warfighter. The game is said to be a direct sequel to the 2010 reboot and is said to have incorporated new elements. However it received horrible reviews and was a commercial failure on the market.Read more...

New Super Mario Bros. 2

The greatest duo in gaming has to be the two plumbing brothers known as Mario and Luigi. These two siblings have been around forever and have had their own versions of games that have sparked interest within several player’s minds and hearts. They have received loads of rewards and critical appreciation over the years for the advancements in gameplay and graphical areas. The Ninteno DS had its fair share of Mario games and when Nintendo 3DS launched it also saw its first Mario game. Well soon enough another instalment in the series graced the little screen called New Super Mario Bros. 2. The game is developed and published by Nintendo and is said to be a direct sequel to the Super Mario Bros. on the DS. Moshi Monsters: Moshlings Theme Park

The Moshi Monsters universe is so cute and adorable that every kid wishes they lived in it to cuddle up to these lovable monsters and take care of them. The social networking game was a huge success and thus to capitalize on it the developers Mind Candy decided to host a bunch of games based on that very universe out of which one was called Moshi Monsters: Moshlings Theme Park. This was a 3DS exclusive game which was meant to entice and excite the little ones with its wider more lovable appeal as well as keep them occupied for hours on end. Needless to say the game was accepted but the little ones disappointed as in comparison to the first part it seemed much flatter.Read more...

There was a certain period in time when Zumba had taken over the world and the craze for the dance plus fitness regime had made quite an impact on the public. During this time many companies tried to capitalize on the idea and created all sorts of merchandize to gain the maximum they could from the craze. And so there came a game called Zumba Fitness. Developed by Pipeworks Software and published by Majesco Entertainment along with 505 Games, the game is made for the Wii, PlayStation Move and Xbox 360 Kinect platform and allows player to shake a leg to shed that extra calorie and end up with ripped abs at the end. He got a totally new reboot with The Amazing Spider-Man movie which ranked pretty well on the box office and garnered all sorts of positive reviews. Loosely adapted upon the movie is a game called you guessed it, The Amazing Spider-Man. Developed by Beenox and published by Activision, the game puts the player into the role of the friendly neighbourhood web crawling super hero. Skateboarding is a genre that many video games have tackled in the past some of them belonging to the Tony Hawk series or the recent Skate series but Snowboarding has rarely been touched. It’s a genre similar to skateboarding only it involves snow. Very few games have been able to tackle this genre, one of them being the SSX game. Developed by EA Canada and published by EA Sports, the game is a reboot version of the famous SSX franchise which was released for the PlayStation 2 console. It received generally positive reviews from critics and fans praising it for its reboot effort and better gameplay mechanics coupled with solid sounds and great graphics. Read more...

“Ahoy me maties, it’s me Captain Jack Sparrow ready to break some legos and collect some studs for a change.” That’s correct! Lego has finally invaded the ever so popular series of Pirates of the Caribbean. Developed by Traveller’s Tales and published by Disney Interactive Studios, the game takes the player on a swashbuckling adventure where they step into the boots of the notorious yet lovable character Captain Jack Sparrow himself. The game revolves around the basic storyline of the Pirates of the Caribbean universe and does it with some class as to set the right tone and mood to the overall gameplay. The game received normal reviews from critics and gamers but was not really overjoyed with this addition to the series.Read more...

With all the success the Star Wars franchise has had, one would think that nothing could go wrong for them. Whether it be in movies, games or any other form of popular culture, Star Wars has gained massive respect and popularity due to the brilliance it has brought in every single field. But that streak is about to break. Developed by Terminal Reality and published by LucasArts, Kinect Star Wars takes the franchise and puts a horrible spell on top of it out of which it may never recover. The game is based on the Kinect feature of the Xbox 360 and uses motion control technology for added gameplay experience. The game received weak reviews from most of the critics where they complained about a weak story, shoddy gameplay and inaccurate controls. Read more...
